Early History:
Started in Spring 2005 with
White Center Community

(WCCDA) Spring Clean in
May. Increasing complaints
from Park neighbors over the
previous two years concerning
criminal activities including illicit
drug use, prostitution, drinking
and semi permanet camps as
well as car theft & petty theft
led to formation of Friends of
North Shorewood Park
registering with King County.
Since then monthly work parties
including the Lutheran Brethren
Youth Ministries from the upper
Midwest in August 2005 have
continued to clean & clear the
park for residents of the Greater
White Center & West Seattle
neighborhoods.
Mission:
To Create a safe &
environmentally friendly park
for everyone in the community
to enjoy.
